If Your World Revolves Around Art, Sikka Festival is Your Go-To

Tucked away in the alleyways of the Al Shindagha Historic Neighborhood, the Sikka Art & Design Festival has returned in 2026. It is more than just an exhibition; it is a space where heritage meets contemporary creativity.

From the moment you step into the district, you are greeted by a sensory explosion. The festival transforms the neighborhood into an open-air gallery featuring:

Art-Themed Houses: Traditional homes reimagined as immersive galleries showcasing various types of art.

Massive Wall Murals: Vibrant paintings that turn old stone walls into modern masterpieces.

Hands-On Creativity (For Free!)

Sikka is built on the belief that everyone is an artist. The festival offers a diverse range of free workshops that allow you to take a piece of the experience home with you.

For the Lifestyle Enthusiast: Try your hand at candle making, experiment with colors at the glaze bar, or master the perfect pour with a latte art session.

For the Little Ones: Keep the kids inspired with specialized workshops. They can build their own wooden characters, design custom hair clips, or get a head start on the season by crafting beautiful Ramadan and Eid cards.

Note that these sessions cannot be booked online. To join, sign up at the registration desks upon arrival. Spots are limited, so arriving early is a smart move.

The Culinary Scene

Feeling hungry? Art isn't the only thing on the menu. Sikka hosts some of the city's most beloved local gems to keep you fueled while you explore:

Matcha Lovers: Head over to FYND for your favorite matcha fix.

Sushi Cravings: Visit Roll’d for fresh, hand-rolled delights.

Burger Fans: If you’re in the mood for something hearty, The Little Fox serves up the best meaty burgers in the neighborhood.
